MYJ Tau Systems Sdn. Bhd was privileged to have hosted a visit by key personnel from Maritime Strategic Association of Malaysia (MASTRA) on a 2-day (28-29 December 2023) visit to Kota Kinabalu recently. The delegation, which flew from Kuala Lumpur, was led by its President, First Admiral (Ret) Dato’ Ir. Haji Ahmad Murad Bin Haji Omar, and accompanied by Dato’ Ir. Wan Othman Bin Wan Abdul Rahman and Capt. Norfaizal.
During the visit, they expressed their interest to cooperate in preparing more skilled manpower in the maritime sector in Sabah. They paid a courtesy visit to University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF) to meet up with the University’s Board of Directors, Chairman Datuk Mohd Yaakub Haji Johari and the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Rafiq Idris. Also present at the visit were the MYJ Tau Systems’ Executive Director, Mr. Mohd Nasruddin Bin Mohd Yaakub, and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Muhammad Hassani Bin Yahya.
After the visit, the group paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah III cum State Minister of Works Sabah, YB Datuk Ir. Shahelmey Yahya to further highlight the discussion on the prospects of the maritime sector and Blue Economy in Sabah.
The MASTRA delegation also took their time to visit the MYJ Group facilities at Metrotown, Kolombong before meeting up with Capt. Ahmad Azrul bin Maridan at the Royal Malaysian Naval base at Sapangar.
With the visit by MASTRA key members, we hope this will help build a new platform for the company to enhance its commitment to the State’s maritime sector and build new potentials in the blue economy in general.
